Remote - Successful candidate must live in a state in which Point Broadband operates (AL, FL, GA, MD, MI, OH, TN, TX, or VA)
Summary:
The Point Broadband Director of Data Governance & Systems will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and evolving our Data Warehouse and Ecosystem. This position will ensure the integrity/accuracy and security of our data and data processes and will manage and develop the team responsible for the Data Warehouse and associated systems and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and develop a team to ensure proper administration of our Data Warehouse infrastructure, tools and systems
- Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability
- Define and utilize statistical methods to solve company-specific problems in varying fields, such as sales, marketing, construction, and operations
- Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments by analyzing and interpreting data
- Identify, charter and manage necessary projects to ensure continued data integrity and data warehouse stability
- Identify and resolve potential process or acquisition plans that could impact data integrity
- Work cross functionally to understand and meet the needs of the various departments as it relates to our data warehouse
- Serve as a key team member for any acquisition, billing or other system migrations
- Identify and solution automation opportunities, focused on accuracy and efficiency
- Manage vendors and contracts associated with the data warehouse solution
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, IT, statistics, computer science or related field or related experience
- Strong computer, analytical, MS Office, math and analytical skills are essential
- Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously is required
- Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies
- Superior interpersonal and customer experience skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software
- Previous, successful people management and contractor management is necessary
- Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed
- Able to compile and organize statistical information and present findings to management
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and effectively manage vendors
- Extensive experience in solution development, data management, IT or program management in a telecommunications environment are highly preferred
