Summary:

The Tower Climber reports to the Director of Field Operations. You will be responsible for providing our customers with exceptional customer service, completing clean and organized installations, and sharing your passion for technology with our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review site survey results to assess the proper installation location and equipment.
  • Install new Internet services by running Cat5 cable, mounting exterior equipment on customer towers (average 300 feet in height) roof mounts, or other forms of exterior mounts on customer property.
  • Configure radios, and routers for Internet setup and update accounts notes with install details and photos.
  • Keep a running knowledge of CIP's broadcasting tower locations.
  • Show professionalism and integrity when interacting with our customers by your speech, dress, timeliness, and cleanliness.
  • Must be able to work independently or as a team, keep a timely schedule, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on site and on company provided vehicle.
  • Stay current on all systems, products, technology and maintain proficiency concerning company requirements and our core values.
  • Perform service calls as needed.
  • Successfully complete and maintain the tower safety and rescue training program.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe/acceptable driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read, follow instructions, communicate, and document clearly.
  • Outdoor Elements: heat, cold, and precipitation for 8-10 hours, 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required.
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform after-hours emergency repairs to damaged tower equipment caused by storms, lightening and high winds.
  • Lifting and transporting heavy equipment (up to 50lbs), climbing stairs, ladders, roofs, and towers (up to 300ft).
  • Operating power tools, company vehicles, and other heavy machinery.
  • Driving long distances, country roads, and highways.
  • Other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s Values.
