Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of telecommunications materials and equipment. This role involves managing a team that may include a Warehouse Coordinator. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment, monitoring staff productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Supervise and provide direction to Warehouse Coordinators, Warehouse Clerks, and other warehouse staff, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Conduct training and provide ongoing coaching to warehouse staff on best practices, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure high productivity and quality standards.
  • Manage shipping, receiving and stocking of all inventory materials needed for the ongoing operation of the company.
  • Oversee converter room activities and testing of reclaimed customer equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and database of inventory materials received, warehoused and dispersed.
  • Complete purchase orders with approved vendors for required materials.
  • Project advance inventory requirements in conjunction with technical operations manager.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory levels to meet demand while maintaining efficient inventory levels and the highest possible inventory turnovers.
  • Disperse equipment to field technicians and maintains employee receipt records.
  • Perform quarterly and annual audits of inventory items.
  • Deliver materials to satellite operations centers.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with all staff, including management, independent contractors, technical staff and office personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five to seven years warehouse or broadband industry experience with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required.

Computer Skills:

  • MS Office software, QuickBooks, Internet, and E-mail; database and inventory software is required.

  • Occasionally required to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. and ladders up to 75 lbs.

  • Required to have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets the standards of the insurance carrier.The employee generally works in warehouses and indoor office environments but occasionally works outdoors, in all types of weather and on uneven terrain.
