Intern, Strategy and Analytics (Undergraduate Level Internship)
Remote, but successful candidate MUST live within a state in which Point Broadband operates (AL, FL, GA, MD, MI, NY, OH, TN, TX, and VA).    #LI-remote
 

Summary:

The Strategy & Analytics Intern will support strategic initiatives across Point Broadband’s rapidly growing fiber broadband business. This role is ideal for an undergraduate student with strong quantitative skills and an interest in the intersection of business and technology.

The role will focus on high-impact projects that inform where Point grows its business and why. The Intern will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across marketing, sales, construction, and/or finance to drive data-informed decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:

  • Assist in market sizing and competitive analysis using third-party data sources
  • Develop Excel models to assess new growth opportunities
  • Prepare presentations in PowerPoint to support internal investment discussions
  • Clean and analyze datasets using SQL and Python (basic proficiency sufficient)
  • Support grant application processes by researching state and federal broadband programs
  • Conduct ad hoc data pulls and summarize findings into actionable insights

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Exposure to SQL and Python (coursework or project experience acceptable)
  • Comfort working with large datasets and third-party market intelligence platforms
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) or FCC broadband data (e.g., Form 477, BDC)

Additional Computer Skills:

Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, Internet software and e-mail.
