Summary:

This position coordinates and assists with the implementation of Human Resources initiatives directly supporting business initiatives and provides administrative and clerical support for corporate HR functions. This position works closely with relevant Human Resources team members in providing service to employees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:

  • Assists human resources management with the Talent Acquisition process including posting open positions on various sites, prescreening candidates via telephone, video, and face to face interviews, and coordinating drug screening and background verifications for candidates
  • Coordinates participation in, sets up displays, and works at local job fairs to actively recruit applicants
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Assists with unemployment claims and other correspondence
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation to support regulatory requirements and audits
  • Assists with administration of FMLA and employee leave of absence process
  • Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual reports as appropriate
  • Processes terminations to include separation notices, exit surveys and any additional information as required by policy or law
  • Support internal audit efforts and reporting
  • Provides clerical support to the Human Resources department
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as open enrollment, organization wide meetings or communications
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Ability to maintain the highest confidentiality with sensitive information

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have strong attention to detail and have a high level of accuracy

Education/Experience:

1-2 years of experience in HR or office support preferred.

Computer Skills:

Must possess strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • The employee must occasionally walk, reach with hands and arms, and drive a vehicle. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. May be required to climb stairs, ladders or ramps
  • The job is generally performed in various office settings, and the employee may be subject to related conditions such as dust
  • The ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines (copiers, printers, ) and telephones, but occasionally may be above normal for portions of business day
  • The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks
  • Must be able to focus and multi-task in a busy environment, with the ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
